07/21/20 stamped on bottom rim of can. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy golden with 1-2 finger off-white head with decent retention and spots of lacing.
S: Aroma is strong with pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and light berry. The pale malt backbone is apparent also with some mild graininess.
T: Flavor is very good with solid slightly sweet and grainy pale maltiness dissolving to leave hoppy notes of red grapefruit, orange, lime, pineapple, and light strawberry. Low bitterness and medium-high fruity esters.
M: Very substantial body which is not overly heavy but not watery, right in the sweet spot, with modest carbonation and reasonably dry finish for the style with no chalkiness or astringency.
O: I liked this beer but still not as hoppy as many of the upper tier NEIPAs. Love the malt backbone which provides another interesting element to the mix.
