Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a slight brown to black sort of color with a finger’s worth of quickly dissipating white to off white foamy head. Moderate lace. The aroma had some roastiness playing with some coffee, toffee and caramel components. Light tobacco fresh-like quality as it warmed further. The flavor carried the sweet side of the previously mentioned aromas to coincide a little bit with some bitter dark chocolate parts. Thin edges of some honey and then some sweet graininess slides in right before the aftertaste which consisted of the sweet grains, milk and dark chocolate and the roast. Finishes with a little bit of honey. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good and the ABV felt as projected. It gets quite smooth how it lays down on my tongue. Overall, now this is a very well done brown ale that could really turn some heads if more people find out about this one.

Taste: Roasted semi sweet dark chocolate malt, coffee and toffee notes with a hint of tobacco finish.
Slight toasted coffee bean nose. Black/Brown, mostly opaque, with a delicate refined head and lattice of lace. Medium body and pairs with the delicious food at the pub. Much Porter-like brown ale. 27 IBUs
