Pours a lightly hazy dark brown color with a finger of tan head. Not much in the way of lacing or head retention.
The aroma is very nutty and roasty, with notes of caramel and piney hops on the back end.
The taste follows the nose. Roasted almonds and pecans up front, followed by some sweet caramel, finished off by a wave of piney hops.
The feel is medium bodied with hefty carbonation. Crisp, yet smooth. Has a slight lingering bitterness.
Overall, a good all-around brown ale that is very well-balanced and easily drinkable.
