Crowler from the source, into a Bierstadt glass.

This one pours a darkish brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like sticky malt, with fruitcake, dark bread, and caramel, along with some clove and spice.

This was the "least" of the four beers from Bierstadt I've tried so far, and it was still excellent. It's got a great creamy malt character, slightly sweet, caramelly, but also very bready. There's no real hop character, but a bit of clovey and spicy yeast character.

This is medium bodied, creamy, and very drinkable, with a smooth finish.

You can pretty much guarantee that any beer you get from Bierstadt is going to be awesome.
