palate cleansing pils is what it stands for, made for, or possibly in collaboration with goed zuur, this might be the only place its being served. all in our crew were floored by it, not only is it a perfect interlude between all the heady wild and acidic beers they sling in here, but its pretty amazing on its own too, at least as good as slow pour or anything else the brew, frankly as good as any beer in this place, which is saying a whole lot, i was blown away. they call it a baby pils, done with hersbrucker hops, i love everything about it, from its immaculate yellow golden clarity and shine to its two fingers of thick white foam that rises above the rim of the glass and stays, to its unique noble hop profile thats like dried out lawn and white tea, through to its epic texture, which is effervescent, crackling dry, and infinitely repeatable, for being this low in alcohol this doesnt feel like a compromise to the drinker at all, still some body in here, as flavorful as any pils in the game, and super delicate and refined, as high quality as they come, even a new gold standard, just wow! its so bubbly, so expressive, so herbal and fresh, and the grain is clean, new, carefully introduced it seems, and authentic in a special way, im sure this is decoction mashed, im sure the water chemistry is meticulous, and im sure thirsty for another one. i do not go to goed zuur for lager like this, or at least i didnt before now. in the future this will compete with the lambics and wild rarities for me, its that good. cant recommend this highly enough, one of my favorite lagers of the year...
