L: Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head and no lacing on the glass.
S: Nice toasty malt, with a touch of smoke and ash and then a hint of sweetness makes this beer very enticing.
T: Smokey and toasty mixes with a very balanced caramel sweetness. Very tasty beer
F: Medium body smooth carb and fairly easy drinking for the style
O: This is exactly what I was expecting from a collab between these two breweries

On tap at Bierstadt Lagerhaus in Denver, CO.
This one pours a dark-ish black color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells like milk chocolate, licorice, and coffee.
This is a collaboration between two excellent breweries, so I had to try it. There’s both dark and milk chocolate type flavors, toastiness, pumpernickel, licorice, tobacco, and roasty coffee.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and not too boozy, with a pretty nice drinkability.
This is a little bit outside the usual realm of what Bierstadt does, but it’s still a banger of a lager.

Clear, dark brown pour, same appearance in the glass; thick, light khaki colored head; nice partial sheets of foam inside the glass, Very nice dark malt aroma with a note of roasted grain; richly sweet; hints of toffee and vanilla. Slyly rich malt flavor mirrors the aroma qualities; cocoa; mild underlying bitterness; touch of alcohol peeking through the earthy sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel; warm and velvety; a touch of boozy heat.
Overall, this is a nice Baltic porter, smooth with just a bit of boozy edge offsetting the dark malt sweetness.
ABV: 9%; pouring temperature: 51.1 °F; canning info: 03 . 10 . 25
