Great look, dark with a light creamy head. Aroma is deep dark chocolate with cherries. The first sip you get both the chocolate and cherries, the chocolate lingers on the palate afterward.

From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate. This fantastic stout
pours a rich coal black with a nice head of dark brown foam that
settles to a thick ring and layer that displays some nice sudsy lacing.
Nose of dark sweet chocolate, dark cherries, and subtle char with a
dose of brown sugar. Flavors knock it out of the park with a dark
chocolate covered black cherry flavor mingling with balanced char
and toffee with subtle cream notes and rich coffee. Exceptional
mouth feel; full body, medium light carbonation, and a rich lightly
sweet cherry and chocolate note on the finish.
Overall, a flat out fantastic stout from a fantastic Cincinnati brewer.
This one should win more contests as should many of their brews.
Best brewery in Cincy....period.
Cheers

Super stoked that my buddies Richard and Alanna got this beer for me.
A: A dark black in color with a deep tan head on top.
S: Aroma is just a bit lacking.. probably open up a bit when it warms. Rich malt, chocolate, and caramel in there. Cherry in the finish.
T: Holy cow this is marvelous. Rich dark chocolate, brown sugar, and perhaps a light touch of coffee, with a small hit of booze, and the finish is a very mild but noticeable cherry.
M: Medium thick in body with moderate carbonation, and a long oily cling.
O: Overall, this is just how I like my stouts.. big, bold, full of flavor, but also surprisingly complicated.

Big chocolate notes in aroma, hint of lactose and cherry.
Flavor is sweet throughout, almost candy-like, with moderate cherry notes and a roasty, lightly bitter finish.
