From the growler via (censored) in a snifter from some lovely locals that love
good brew and appreciate the little lady and my tastes. This unique imperial pours
a rich black with dark cola high lights and a modest head of light brown foam that
fades to a thin ring with a light subtle lacing. Nose of rich mint layered in dark
chocolate (AKA a York Peppermint Patty) with light vanilla and oak mingling with
subtle bourbon and light char notes. Flavors surpass the nose with peppermint
patty notes mingling with dark cocoa and light notes of coffee and bourbon.
Very nice mouth feel; medium full body with a chocolate mint kick, low carbonation,
lightly slick, and a rich full mouth feel with a mint accentuation.
Nice, a touch over the top on the mint missing the perfect balance marks, but still
solid for a desert stout.
Cheers
