From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This mighty brew
pours a dark blackish brown with a nice head of off white foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and shows light lacing. Nose
of coffee, char, and dark cocoa with some brulee notes. Flavors
surpass the nose rich dark cocoa that is moderately bitter sweet with
light char and a faint brulee note that mingles with some subtle dark
fruit notes and dunked in a generous cup of rich dark coffee. Nice
mouth feel; full body, medium light carbonation, and a nice cocoa and
char finish that is lightly dry.
Overall, a definite brew to have again. Excellent
