Copenhagen 4/7 2019. 50 cl bottle from Ninkasira Bottleshop, Kbh N. Drawing of weird scaly lady doing strange things with beer and pineapples on the label.
Pours hazy, opaque, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is pretty subdued, fruity sweet and lightly citric. Peach, Pear and Pineapple. Light notes of Citrus and Grape fruit. Gets stronger as the beer warms up.
Light carbonation. Soft, slightly thick, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with a light overweight to the sweet side. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Not a bad NEIPA - but could use a bit more intensity and zest.
