Just found this bomber in the back of my beer fridge. Sample from the brewery. 9.3% ABV. 85 IBU.
Pitch black with a creamy mocha colored head that drops to a ringed lace. Chocolate and cherries in the nose. Viscous and silky smooth on the palate. First sip is packed with deep roasted malts and plenty of chocolate and coffee notes. Brownies come to mind. Black treacle, maraschino cherry, and raisin. Peppery. Quite bitter. Dry, earthy finish. Hints of sherry and cardboard (oxidation) linger in the back.
I straight up solid American Imperial Stout.
