Wait, this beer is retired? My girlfriend and I just had the pils and the dunkel at a restaurant in Salzburg, Austria that serves nothing but Wieninger brews. ????
Anyway, along with the review.
A: Light brown, burnt orange in color (just a shade darker than a typical hefeweissbier...which was a surprise to me). I expected it to be darker like most dunkelweizens. Relatively soapy head reduces to surfacing/edging while providing light lacing throughout. Low-ish carb...indicative of the style.
S: Wheaty...imagine that. Slight citrus and darker roasted malts.
T: Some light citrusy notes. Mealy dark malts...wheaty bread. I just really like weizens.
M: Light and slightly coating. Light on the carb. Wet palate.
O: Not my favorite, but a solid/good dunkelweizen...I would drink it again if it's available...and not retired????

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
