Pale gold with a light haziness. There’s a quarter inch creamy eggshell white on top. Moderate, soapy lacing. There’s a touch of banana and pale wheat in the nose. I taste pale wheat and faint banana. The mouth is smooth and refreshing.

Crystal clear golden bod with a billowing white head that instantly shrinks to a cap. Big wheat and bubble gum with some light banana and golden malt in the nose. Taste is watery with banana leading and wheat, lemon, and bubble gum supporting. Not bad but pretty bland, not helped by watery body despite constant yeast and higher carbonation for the style. Forgettable

Look - 2nd beer of the 2021 Costco Advent Calendar. Poured into a pint glass. Straw yellow in color, slightly cloudy (though less so compared to standard hefes), big three finger head with great retention.

Smell - a lot of malts and less of the bananas/cloves expected from a hefe, but actually still quite pleasant.

Taste - all malts, with a fair bit of creaminess on the taste. finish on the lighter side, but includes hints of the banana/cloves that is rounded off by some wheat flavor.

Feel - medium bodied (on the lighter side), above average carbonation, and slightly higher on the ABV too for the style at 5.6%

Overall - a hefe that is more filtered than the typical. the result is a wheat heavy beer that is a bit more refreshing, and also a bit more boozy.

Drinkable. Not as much barnyard and cloudiness as I think it should have. Tasty none the less. Prost!

Costco advent calendar 2021 day 2: This is a wheat that is a little airier than I prefer with a similarly somewhat watery mouthfeel. Taste however is good with notes of banana. Would enjoy again.

Day 2 of the 2021 Costco Beer Advent Calendar. Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours deep orange with a small white head. Smells of bright wheat and slight banana. Tastes of wheat with nice banana notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, even if a little "think". Overall, a very good beer.

A: slightly murky burnt orange color. Some light grainy yellow towards the bottom. Poured a 1 finger solid tan head that faded pretty quick. Would like a bit more head

S: big notes of banana and yeast upfront. Wheat, clove, coriander and pear behind that. Lemongrass and grains. Some bubblegum notes at the end with some more sweet grains and malts

T: pear, coriander, and sweet wheat snd grains. Banana and bubblegum. Some sweet caramel and clove on the back. A touch thin

M: lighter side of medium with strong-medium carbonation. Could use a bit more carbonation

O: decent Hefe, hits some of the good notes but could just use a bit more in the flavor and mouthfeel

A: Pours a hazy medium golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate honey + pale golden yellow + pale orange + peach colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense pillowy foamy off-white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of banana + clove from the yeast over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of wheat + grainy + pale malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. Hints of citrus/orange zest + citrus/orange pith hops.

T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of wheat + grainy + pale malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of banana + clove from the yeast. Finally there is a hint of citrus/orange zest + citrus/orange pith hops which impart a very light amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving light lingering banana + clove.

M: Light to medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin/watery.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol but a little thin/watery in mouthfeel for me. Enjoyable banana + clove flavors and aromas.

500mL can stamped EXP 2023/05 poured into a mug at fridge temp 5.6% ABV. The beer pours hefe-hazy in light amber color with nearly white head. Spotty lacing. The head recedes to a thin cap. The aroma is mild with notes of banana and clove. The taste is semisweet mildly clovey wheat malt with a hint of banana. Mild bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a somewhat dry finish. Overall, good. A bit watery and very light in flavor which is perfect for me since I don't like the Hefeweizen style.

I got a can of this beer from a Costco Beer Advent calendar pack....representing December 2nd! It poured a hazy orangish with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had clove and banana notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt with banana base mixed with clove flare. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Picked up as part of the Costco 2021 Advent 24-pack in Greenville, SC on 10-9-21 for $59.99. Expires 2023/05; consumed 11-14-21.

Beer poured gold with a nice white head with the original pour.

Nose is of cloves and bananas.

Taste follows the nose with a moderate wheat malt base is played nicely by the yeast used yielding bananas and cloves. Finishes well balanced,

Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing but a bit watery.

Overall a nice representation of the here style.

Hazy amber yellow in color. Compact .3" white head that leaves thin lacing behind. Malty aroma with a mild lactic and citrus smell. Malty taste with a mild lactic undertone that is well balanced by the hops. It feels a little thin compared to other wheat beers. Overall a nice beer that will appeal to those who don't like the heavy banana flavor of most German Weizenmaltz.

Typical for the style, there's a big foamy stark white head interrupting the pour of the contents of a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug. It recedes unevenly, as expected, leaving no lacing inside the glass. Beneath the mess lies a yellow-amber brew, somewhat opaque. There's the not so appealing wheat beer aroma, sort of perfume-llke, but otherwise characterless. It's still incredulous that the country that once had barley as one of the four legally acceptable ingredients in beer by law, now has seemingly fallen in love with wheat. Not everyone else has. Like most wheat-based beers, this has almost no body and lacks any depth in its taste. Practically hopless in taste, with the wheat being a poor substitute for a barley based body or even malty sweetness. This makes a beer lover long for a Miller High Life, since it's better bodied and flavored.

From the can in the Costco Bier Advent Calendar 2021, it pours a hazy light amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces and leaves lots of lacing. Scent is bready malt and citrus (!). Taste is light bready malt with a bare hint of lemon. Nice!
