Wow, a top fermented 5 grain beer. From the bottle, it pours a slightly hazy amber color with a modest just off-white head that lasts and leaves lacing. The nose gets some vanilla and bready malt. The mouth follows with some spicy bready malt with some yeastiness. Interesting brew.

This is something between a weizen and a lager. It definitely has the yeasty quality in the aroma and the taste but it is not as malt-heavy or overwhelming like a wheat beer. The yeast made it feel almost like a Belgian. A bit strange, not bad though. They say it is called a fünfkornbier.
