Back in the day, mine owners needed to quench their workers’ thirst with a less inebriating beverage than rye whiskey (as was liked to be consumed), so they brewed a rye-based beverage that was refreshing and kept them swinging their pick axes, instead of passing out on the job. This is our take on this unique style. LandLocked Ales does not condone swinging a pick axe after consuming this beverage.
