About to leave the Evergreen State and wanted one more from here for the road. Hard to see the wheat here as this has quite a rustic feel to it as it was quite tangy and light. Indeed, it was fitting for a warm night such as this!
Golden, brassy, and lacking in visual wheat, this was topped off with plenty of head as this seemed like a mass-market macro to my eye. It even smelled like one as the floral notes were quite grassy and reminiscent of fillers. Some corn and sweet grass mingled in with the blackberry and lemon that made this quite tart and tangy. Light all-around, I wish this had more wheat and body to it although the carbonation was spot-on.
Hard to detect the alcohol in this as it was fitting for the summer, if you were looking for a brew to go out on the trail or lake with. Not terribly crazy about this offering but it was sufficient after a long day on the road, as it was nice to find something local in a bar such as this. It was just a tad too artificial-feeling for my tastes…
