16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 4/25/2019. Pours opaquely hazy/murky orange/yellow/amber color with a 1 finger dense and creamy yellow/orange head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge juicy, lightly tart/tangy mangoes, melon, fruit skin, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, slight pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance of mangoes, lactose, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate fruity/acidic yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy, lightly tart/tangy mangoes, melon, fruit skin, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, slight pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Very mild fruity/lactic tartness, and fruit tang on the finish. Lingering notes of mangoes, melon, fruit skin, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, slight pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great robustness, and balance of mangoes, lactose, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate fruity/acidic yeast flavors; with a solic malt/lactose/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no cloying sweetness after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/syrupy, and slightly acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited milkshake style sour. All around great robustness, and balance of mangoes, lactose, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate fruity/acidic yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the minimally acidic/tangy/drying finish; super soft feel. Insanely huge juicy/jammy mango presence, with solid Lacto complexity; and a large sized lactose and wheat/malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Wasn't as impressed as I expected. This is more like a straight up fruit smoothie, than a wild ale; vs previous variants. A very enjoyable and well made offering for what it was otherwise.
