L - pours a bright orange with 1/4 inch white head
S - the smell is amazing. You can’t go wrong with a DDH Citra beer
T - nice tropical citrus flavor with peach, apricot, passion fruit, lemon, and melon.
F - you get all that citrus juice right up front with minimal bitterness that doesn’t linger on the back end. It finishes dry & leaving you wanting more.
O - Homes always kills it & they don’t play around with this DDH Citra IPA either. Wow...fantastic beer

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/19/2019. Pours opaquely hazy golden/orange/green/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Excellent complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.6%. Overall this is an excellent hazy IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft feel, and not overly aggressive. Awesome Citra showcase. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected of the brewery.
