Triple mashed, 24-hour boil, brewed with brown sugar, dark maple syrup & milk sugar, aged in a selection of Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek single barrel, Barton, and Old Forester bourbon barrels, blended to taste before dosing with a lot of toasted peanut, almond, and macadamia nuts, plus Ghanaian cacao nibs, coconut caramel, and Madagascar vanilla bean. Collab with Equilibrium.

Into a tulip glass no head to speak of floating particles of maybe sugar or nuts, dark thick motor oil color

Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, nuts and chocolate, hints of coconut and caramel

Taste is chocolate, vanilla, roasted almonds and sugar. Not overly sweet but the sugar comes through nicely

Mouthfeel is slick starting and then sticky finishing. Low carbonation and silky smooth. Chewy flavors and no alcohol burn.

Overall it’s a awesome BA imperial stout, big flavors, smooth full notes and really easy drinking. Sweet but not overwhelming, nice layers of flavors.

Pours absolutely jet black. No head, no ring, no lacing. Coconut or peanut shavings are visible floating atop the liquid. Smell is bourbon, chocolate, peanuts, vanilla, and caramel. Taste starts off with melted milk chocolate and drifts gently into vanilla and the most delightfully complex nutty notes I’ve ever experienced and continues to lean softly into the coconut with the bourbon ever so subtly accenting the aftertaste. Not overbearing. Not too sweet. Not too many adjuncts. Just perfectly balanced and so drinkable at over 11%. I just love this beer.
