"What happened to your face bruh?"
" I dunno, I just drank the beer and it went away"
"What?"
"I guess it just ate it off."
Welcome to Nucleate, the yearly solera styled ale from Homes that just keeps the sourness rolling from year to year. Pouring a peach and pastel mauve with a foggy gaze and a thinly veiled foam, nucleate '22 wastes to time teasing the senses with candied fruitiness, arid funk and floral fauna. A scant and dry sweetness kicks off the taste with communion wafers, sourdough and a sprinkle of pixie dust fun dip. But anything childish is short lived as the sourness rushes in and washes away anything bready or sweet. An enamel stipping sourness bring flavors of lemon, grapefruit, crabapple, sour white grape, lime and gooseberry with a backdrop of vinous tartness in barrel chardonnay fashion. With a waft of candied fruit hovering over the session, the beer's final frame is one of weathered woods, attic funk and hints of saddle leather in retro-olfactory form.
Light, dry and supremely characterful, this detonation on the palate shows an explosion of sour ale flavor with an effortless sense of drinkability assuming that we can handle the acidity.

Somebody say sour!?!
Pours very clear and slightly peach in color. Nose is all about the sourness as is the taste. This will put you in permanent pucker. Not bad though!
