I was surprised at how uninteresting this was. Looked fine, as do all the beers here, they get that part right for sure.
But the hop aroma and flavors were uninspiring bordering on boring. Nothing to grab the attention or spark the imagination. No malt firmness and quite thin body.

a nice take on the american pale ale, almost blonde in color, much lighter and less malty than the style often tends to be, and a real clean and easy drinking beer overall, one of the most approachable brews on their menu do to the lighter body and relatively low hop bitterness, both the session and the misty mountain finished with a lot more punch than this more delicate pale. the malt base is light but has a cool biscuity flavor, kind of fresh baked, dry but interesting, while the hops provide a little citrus twist but do not run away with this one, even as light as it is. this is a drink by the pint all day kind of beer, interesting enough to hold a beer nerds attention through several glasses with the hop and grain interaction, but not so intense or wild enough that it merits much deeper probing for understanding, its just a pale ale, and a darn good one at that. smooth for the lightness, and better carbonated than all of the other beers we had here, really bright and active, the perfect feel for this one. not reinventing the wheel with this one, but theyve done a fine job with it.
