Really quite pale, as compared to my companion's regular IPA, which was also relatively light colored for style. Nice white head. Smaller feels as would be expected for a beer with the smaller abv. Hop aroma and flavor seem largely indistinct. Nothing stands out to grab and interest. Grassy, herbal but not much fruit. Drinking the beer was out of habit and ritual but not grasping towards the pleasure of the next bite.
Perfectly drinkable but that's it.

this was easily my favorite of the four or so beers we had in here, their session ipa, packed to the gills with what has to be mosaic hops, light and fresh but never watery or boring, and still with a bit of hop bitterness despite the heavy dry hopped leaning aromatic and juicy nature of the hop profile overall, this is what session ipa is supposed to be. golden and bright in the glass with a short white head and pretty rings on the edges after each pull. aroma is straight mosaic, tropical with pineapple and orange notes to it, intensely fresh, super appetizing, almost mouthwatering, with just a light pale or honey malt base in behind it. great balance in the flavor, as forward as the hops are, i still get the fresh cereal nature of the grain, and the hops stand out wonderfully above it, juicy and distinctly mosaic, maybe a lesser amount of citra or something is in here too, but i get blazing hot mosaic for the most part. i like the bit of bitterness as it finishes, love the high carbonation and relative dryness. this should be one of the beers they can, its a textbook example of a good hop forward session beer!
