Green Earth is our newest American Pale Ale made in the same obsessively aromatic style as all of our hoppy ales. Brewed with rye, oats, and Munich malt, this beer emanates the depth of our beloved American hops...Simcoe and Citra in this case. Massive flavors and aromas of intense fresh pine, juicy, resinous grapefruit and mango, fresh-cut grass, and deep, dank, earthy orange flesh.
The Green covers the Earth, and makes us all whole again.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow color with a small foamy head. Head retention and lacing are mild. Has a slightly juicy citrus aroma with some piney undertones. Taste not very juicy. There is some citrus and grassy/piney bitterness. Somewhat icy. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

This is a tasty pale ale in the ever prevalent New England style. I'm not a huge fan of the style I think most of them tasty chalky and overly yeasty or leave an unpleasant aftertaste. This one is well made, light, hoppy, full or fleshy fruit flavors. It reminds me of Knee Sneakbox but not quite as citrusy or good. yb

I had a sampler tasting of this at Blend Bar @ Bistro in Hamilton NJ, and this by far was the best NJ Pale Ale I’ve ever had. I was so impressed that I just bought and tapped a special order 1/6 keg for the Home basement bar to go with the other four beers I have on tap... Pours a cloudy golden color in my Belgian Tulip glass. A subtle juicy aroma is very inviting. The taste reminds me of the ever so popular “New England style IPA”, but with lighter balance and booziness. There are plenty of juicy hops, but again on the lighter side with the finish. This should be a year round offering from Brotherton Brewing Company. I haven’t had their IPA, but if it is as good as their Green Earth Pale Ale, it will be my next 1/6th keg order. Well done Brotherton, well done...

Appearance: cloudy yellowish orange in color with a 1/2" head that lingers a bit.
Smell: tropical fruits, oranges, and some grassy tones come through.
Taste: follows the nose as pineapple, orange, and mango fruitiness is nicely balanced with some grassy and earthy tones. Bitterness is moderate.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout.
Overall: an easy to drink pale ale with a great flavor profile. Very enjoyable.

On tap at Bonds Tavern in West Orange. Pours a light, golden hue with minimal frothing. Floral, citrus aroma with hints of grapefruit. Similar overall flavor profile. Good stuff. Recommended.
