Brewmaster's seasonal selection, served every year in September.
A flavorful Lager with a slightly spicy hint of hops in both flavor and finish. A little more full than our base Hofbräuhaus Lager.

Here at the Hofbrauhaus Newport, KY, suburb at Cincinnati, to get a half-liter on draft. Beautiful golden color, with a minimal head, and no smell, although I was outside in the beer garden. The flavor was as you'd expect from HB's import products, very well-balanced. Top-notch malty sweetness with a crisp, only slightly-hoppy after taste. A very light marzen, which are usually heavy for me, so it's definitely sessionable. It does have a high ABV, so one was plenty, however. It's a shame they make it only once a year, though several of their other seasonal brews sound worthy of trying the rest of the year.

The head pours bright puffy white and is solid. Smells malty sweet like bread. The color surprised me. Oktoberfest beers I've drank in the past were darker than this one. The color here is yellow gold. More yellow than gold. Tastes great. Malty sweet on the front and a mild bitterness on the back. High medium carbonation and body on the mouthfeel. A great tasting experience from beginning to end.
