Copenhagen 28/5 2026. 44 cl can from A Good Case web-shop. Vibrant Forest’s rake-like logo on a sombre piece of artwork in black, grey and purple.

Pours opaque dark brown with a big light tan head. Stable. Settles as paper thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is fairly intense with a light odor of sweet and roasted malts mingling with bitter coffee. Toffee and caramel.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.

Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a quite strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.

Wholesome dark forest.

440ml can, bb in 8m.

Dark ruby-tinted clear brown. Beige sturdy head.

Aroma concentrates on bitter chocolate and notes of freshly ground coffee beans.

Body is supple, with the acrid yet smooth coffee notes taking center stage and lingering. To counterbalance, a subdued vanilla layer touches tongue in the middle and blends to the coffee, taking secondary but important role. A bit of red berries in front and up against the palate. Dry but not desert.

A fine, very drinkable classic British porter. Recommended.
