Copenhagen 23/5 2021. 33 cl bottle from Beerdealer web-shop. Drawing of a common chaffinch in front of a citycape littered with small houses and kids playing soccer.
Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fruity odor mingling with a sourish, grainy scent. Caramel, rye bread, vanilla. Sour grains and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, slightly greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is fairly dry.
An IPA where Rye has a prominent place on the malt bill. Could use a bit more bitterness.
