A 330ml can with a BB of Feb 2018. ABV is stated as 5.1%. Purchased recently from ASDA. The label mentions that it is unfiltered and unpasteurised.
A: Poured into a Chimay chalice. A rich golden-amber colour with faint haze and good carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that hangs around for a few minutes before settling as a surface layer.
S: Aroma of bright, fruity hops with notes of mild tropical fruits, citrus, peel, grass/hay, ale yeast and light caramel malt. Lovely.
T: Tastes of pale malt and aromatic hops with hints of mild grapefruit, citrus, subtle tropical fruit, grass, grain, ale yeast and earthiness. Dry, with a lengthy, subdued bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with crisp carbonation and decent body. Seems slightly watery. Aftertaste of fruity aromatic hops and earthiness.
O: Tasty - a quality brew. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour are replete with fruity hop notes underpinned by light malt and yeast. Body is OK. Perhaps the malt character could be beefed up a tad, but this is a trivial complaint. Goes down all too easily - worth sampling if you come across it.
