A 330ml can with a BB of Aug 2018. Purchased recently from Trembling Madness in York. Described on the label as a berliner weisse brewed with raspberry, passionfruit and 'deanimated lactobacillus'.
A: Poured into a tulip. A bright pinkish-orange hue with faint haze and low carbonation. Produces a decent head of frothy white foam that disappears almost immediately.
S: Aroma of tart fruit with hints of passionfruit, raspberry, lactic acid, subtle earthiness and a twinge of pale malt. Vibrant and refreshing - very nice.
T: Tastes of sour fruitiness with notes of passionfruit, sharp raspberry, lactic acid, earthiness and faint pale malt. Very dry, with little bitterness to speak of. Clean.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, very tingly and bone-dry, with a light body that verges on watery. Quite astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of mild sour fruit and faint earthiness - this brew has a short finish.
O: Rather nice - the flavour doesn't linger but it is very refreshing. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour are tart and fruity with earthy undertones. Decent body. Very drinkable; would be sublime on a hot day. Well worth sampling if you enjoy sours.
