A 330ml can, 2024 State of Mind Edition (not sure what this means), with a best before date of 27th November 2026. Poured into whatever glass I could find at the hotel.
Appearance: Black in colour with a one finger beige head that had good retention, and left some nice lacing.
Aroma: Dessert, coconut flakes, vanilla, caramel, tonka beans, nutty, toasted almonds, dark chocolate.
Taste: Light roast, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, coconut, bourbon, tonka, nutty, boozy, and a light spiciness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: An enjoyable sipper with a very nice aroma.

Copenhagen 25/8 2024. 33 cl can from Meny, Vigerslev Allé, Valby. Black can with a golden pattern and a golden stripe running along the top of the can. As "Brew York Empress Tonkoko BA Heaven Hill - State of Mind Edition 2024".
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Stable. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweet odor of dark malts mingling with sweet spice and and alcohol. Brown sugar, raisins, toffee, chocolate and tonka beans. Molasses. Whisky and wood.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft, smooth and almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sugary sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy touch. Lingering. Finish is rich and potent.
Sweet Boozer with a strong touch of Tonka.
