Pint in Brew York, York (£4.75):
Golden & fairly clear with quite a thin, foamy white lacing that's patchy on top. The nose is a standard lager one, light with pale malts & grain, some subtle grassy notes & a biscuit finish. The taste is slightly more bitter, some nice biscuits flavours on top of the grassy hops but it's pretty standard. It's quite light & easy going with a balanced, mellow body that's sharp & sessionable without standing out.

Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Quite pale gold clear, pours with a 2mm fine-bubble white head. ps@+10mins, holds well.
S- Incredibly light smell, just the smallest hint of grains.
T- Some bready malts then into a notably dry trad hoppy-dry finish. Lacking in detail.
F- Prominent trad dry hops.
O- Seems pretty two-dimensional. It lacks detail and hence character. Ie There seems no apparent reason to buy this again. This one is something of a parallel to Pilsener Urquell. The flip-side, to see what a Pilsener with lashings of character can be like then taste side-by-side with an Original Czech Budvar/Budweiser. It costs about 1/2 the price of this one (my local source: £1.90/500ml bottle from Waitrose/UK).
Review2002/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed! => Unfined/unfiltered.
440ml can BB: 02/04/2022 £3.35 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
