Copenhagen 7/2 2024. 44 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Can in red colors with a nativistic drawing of a Lion
Pours almost clear, pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet odor of Stone fruits mingling with a sharp citric scent. Sweet peach and apricot. Grapefruit and citrus.
Rather strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little tart. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Refreshing and fizzy.

Pint on keg at North Bar, Harrogate (£5.70):
Cloudy golden with some bubbles rising to the surface & a foamy white head leaving nice lacing on the sides. Slightly floral notes with a tropical fruit backing, some citrus & subtle stone fruits as well. The taste is similarly floral with a pine hop bitterness, stone fruits & a little grapefruit alongside lighter, pale malts to finish. The body is sharp & floral with moderate carbonation although with a slightly creamy feel initially. Overall its a sharp, bitter beer but the nose could've been stronger.
