Brewed and released just once a year, each Barrel Aged Empress Tonkoko release spends at least 12 months in a unique selection of barrels.
Rye Whiskey was selected to add molasses, spice, and rich oak to add depth to an already deeply decadent beer.

Copenhagen 17/0 2024. 33 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Black and gold can with a thin horizontal, red stripe running along the top of the can.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a dark malts, dark alcohol and sweet spices. Dark malts with a touch of roast. Sweet whiskey. Tonka and vanilla. Dark bitter chocolate. Rich and boozy.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, slightly viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and rich with alcohol. Lingering. Finish is sweet and spicy.
Wholesome sweet boozer.
