Bulla cake, is a rich Jamaican cake made with molasses and spiced with ginger and nutmeg. After 12 months of barrel ageing in Heaven Hill barrels, BA Bulla Cake now imparts flavours of rich oak as well as caramel sweetness, subtle rye spice, and rich oak to add depth to an already deeply decadent beer.

Copenhagen 29/9 2024. 33 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Black and gold can in Yorks usual design for their Barrel Aged beers. A thin purple line running along the top of the can.

Pours opaque dark brown with a small ligt beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as paper thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet, slightly sugary and malty odor mingling with sweet spice and woody alcohol. Brown sugar ad dark malts. Dark chocolate. Ginger in abundance. Vanilla.

Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, viscous, creamy flat texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness with a distinct boozy touch. Cool whiff from the Ginger. Moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a tad sugary. Lingering. Finish Is boozy and cool.

Requires that you are into Ginger.
