Copenhagen 30/5 2025. 33 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. The dire gigantic wolf Fenrir looking gloomily at me from the can.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass.
Aroma is intense with a sweet malty odor with a streak of pastry sweets and dark scent of alcohol looming. Roasted dark malts, vanilla, brown sugar in abundance, biscuits and toffee, bourbon and liqueur.
Light carbonation. Rather thick, oily, soft, a bit sticky, fat, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness, Aftertaste is sweet and a bit boozy. Lingering. Finish is sweet pastry and alcohol.
Potent pastry brew.
