Nightcap of the Dead is a rich marshmallow porter brewed in collaboration with Valhalla, York’s legendary Viking bar. Inspired by for those who lived quietly — this decadent beer brings warmth and sweetness to the darkest of realms.
With toasted marshmallow notes and a velvety depth, it’s the perfect fireside companion for the fallen. If it’s good enough for Helheim, it’s ready to be raised in Valhalla.

Copenhagen 24/5 2026. 33 cl can from Meny, Vermlandsgade, Kbh. S. Can in Brew York's usual design with some kind of dark elf standing in front of flames as motif.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sugary sweet candy-like scent and a modest sourish odor. Marshmallows and brown sugar in abundance. Sweet liqueur giving a boozy vibe.
Low carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous, fat, creamy and rather flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong and heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter with a strong sweet and sugary undertone. Lingering.
Sugary sweet boozer.
