This fresh hop IPA uses a blend of 7 hops grown 22 miles from the brewery. It was a clean, clear yellow gold color with 1/4 inch of white head that had moderate retention and good lacing. There was just a slight grain presence in the nose, but a nice blast of citrus and pine hop scents. Fairly similar on the tongue, with some grapefruit bitterness on the finish.
The body was just on the light side of medium, smooth, and had a dry finish. Drinkability was very nice, I had a couple pints, and will try to get back for more. Overall, although the hops were a wee bit faded, this was a pleasant surprise. If this is my last FH beer of the season, then at least I went out with a good one. Worth trying if you see it.
