Served in shaker pint. This just a solid, basic, enjoyable example of the style. Not Imperial, not whatever-aged, just a good beer. Lightly translucent brown, a third of an inch of tan head, and good retention and lacing.

As anticipated, there was nice, but not overwhelming, roast, some chocolate, and solid, earthy grains, both in the nose and on the palate. The body was smooth and even, with a medium finish. Drinkability was very nice, a perfect companion for our rainy, windy season. Overall, solid and enjoyable brew, hit it if you see it.

Update 1/15/21: There's a new batch out, and it more prominently features vanilla and chocolate. it's still a very nice brew, just more reminiscent of Icicle Brewings Dark Persuasion.
