Congratulations to our friends Piece of Mind Cannabis - Bellingham Dispensary on their Grand Opening. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our neighbor’s new look than with a bright and bold new beer in their honor!

Slightly hazy brew in a darker shade of amber, with plenty of foam in the Chimay chalice. Modest fruity and grainy aroma. Quite malty and a bit on the sweet side. Overall flavor is rather grainy with some rye bread and earthy finish. For hops there is a hint of orange and some other leafy stuff, a bit of pineapple and pear. This is not what you'd call "clean and crisp" but it's an interesting thing to sip. Rather heavy and juicy, but certainly not bitter. From the 32 oz crowler can purchased at the brewery tap.

Served in 16oz can glass. Poured a bright, clean, clear honey-gold color with a thin cap of white head that had low retention and light lacing.
The aroma had a soft malt base with a bright and bold citrus hop top. Very similar on the tongue, just bigger, bolder, and brighter.
The body was fairly typical; medium-light, a touch of coarseness, and a bitter finish that was dry. Drinkability was very good, a beer you could have multiples of without getting bored. Overall, a nicely done take on the style. If you like SNPA, you'll like this. Certainly worth grabbing if you see it.
