A traditional lager following in the footsteps of the original Pilsner from the Czech Republic. Trico Farms in La Grande,OR--just up the highway from where Watts Bees started in Ontario, OR--grows Francin barley, a variety from Bohemia that gives pilsner it's signature bready malt profile. We built this recipe around the Francin malt, adding Saaz hops imported from the Czech Republic.
