It pours a large, frothy, off - White head. It is a hazy, chestnut color and leaves good lacing.
Smells of carmel malt and pine.
The taste of pinehop and rye make a nice combination. Typical sweet, red malt is welcome. Pine hop allows to resinate.
Good, big mouthfeel. Very good

On tap. Poured out a clear, amber color with ruby highlights and a small, white head of foam. It smelled of spices, rye and toasted caramel. Nice spicy flavor with a nice bitterness and roasted malt backbone.

My wife and I picked up a crowler of this brew after visiting this brewery on a Saturday afternoon. Of about five beers on tap, this was our favorite. Deep chestnut in color...thick off-white head. The aroma is a mix of earthy and pine-nut hops, backed by nut and malt scents. The taste is balanced. Hoppy and malty. Full in body and satisfying. This is an IPA that doesn't try to do too much, but is well-made and fits the bill. Nice.
