L- Rich amber, minor haze, pours with 2mm white head, holds well.
S- Mild, I just get some bready grain.
T- It's somewhat mild overall, and has a moderate hoppy-dry edge on the front. There is a toasty note in there too and a somewhat sour+dry hoppy brush on the palate right at the tail-end of the finish which lingers. The hops seem to me more trad in character, so no notes of exotic fruits to be found here.
F- Refreshing, the ^ 'sour+dry' aspect might be the most prominent characterisitic here. Carbonation in the mouth is very high.
O- It's pleasant enough and something a bit different. Versus a mythical 5/5 beer I'd say the hops and the sour note combine to be a bit over-prominent for me, particularly versus it's rather under-powered Taste + body. The stars haven't quite aligned for me on this one; might suit people who enjoy say very well trad-hopped lagers.
