This is one of the most unique breweries in New Jersey. The brewing operation is nonprofit and it's located in one of historic, repurposed buildings in Historic Cold Spring Village in Cape May. Nearly all of the buildings have been relocated to the "village" from nearby communities. The brewery itself is located in a barn built in 1804. It's been beautifully restored and there is abundant seating both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is very relaxed so the "vibe" is mostly a function of its location in the village. The staff is friendly and provided me with several samples. I had pours of the flagship Irish Red Ale and the West Coast IPA which were solid although I've been told that some of the less common styles aren't very good. It's hard to comment since I didn't try them. I had assumed this would be a one-time visit but I was impressed by both the village itself and the brewery and will definitely return. I'd like to try the autumn beers (Märzen and Pumpkin Ale).

Situated in a small historic village, this tiny brewpub is a very nice diversion, and a good stop if you're on your way to the beaches at Cape May or Wildwood. The beers are pretty standard fare, but the place itself is really cool. The bar is in a small barn-like building, very new and spiffy, but still having some rustic charm. Seating inside and outside, with a little game area. There is no food, but there's a restaurant nearby in the village, and they let you bring your own food as well. So yeah, good stop on the way to the beaches, or just a cool place to hang out for a while.
