Poured a brown, almost black body with minimal head. Aroma is boozy and malty. Thick but not heavy beer with basically a sweet taste. The booze is hidden well and there is a slight caramel/toffee malt presence under what I describe as a dark cherry/dark fruit taste which finishes slightly sweet.

 

 

Nice color, no surprises in this dark ruby beer. Nose is full of nuttiness, almond and cherry. Taste follows suit but leans more towards almond until hints of vanilla creep in, as if to accompany the alcohol taste. Dry with as perfect a barley wine body as you could wish for.
