L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Below average lacing.
S: A solid aroma of bourbon, vanilla, wood, chocolate, malt, and coffee.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of chocolate (always welcome), some mild coffee notes, a surprising amount of vanilla (more than expected), and a good shot of bourbon (and its accompanying barrel). A well done and focused flavor. It wasn't overly boozy, but certainly packed a punch. A lot more vanilla than the average stout. Pretty tasty.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An easy to drink stout. Worth a look.
