A fine copper-red top-fermented beer with a cream-colored head and a dense, creamy consistency. It has a pleasant sweetness and great body with aromas of chocolate and caramel. Medium hop bitterness.
The beer is unpasteurized and unfiltered and may therefore contain sediment.

Copenhagen 23/1 2016. 50 cl bottle from Irma, smedetoften, Kbh. NV. A lot of shields and other heraldic stuff on the red label to stress the point that this beer has been produced at a castle.
Pours reddish warm brown with a big off-white head. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam. Creamy lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma of sweet fermented fruit, caramel and a little acidic tartness. Raisins and plums. Alcohol.
Soft carbonation and oily palate. Almost flat texture.
Flavor is sugary sweet. Alcohol, fermented fruit and slightly spicy.
Too sweet and heavy to consume more than one. And you would not mind sharing it if you only had one.
