This juicy IPA was developed in our “underground” basement brewery. Shh…don’t ask about what was happening in the basement, but the beer flows out of the tap a deep persimmon with fluffy khaki foam. The only dank aroma emanating from this basement is one of earthy tones, juicy citrus and a hint of lemongrass all derived from Citra hops. Basement IPA is balanced with a nice malty body that creates a sweet finish and developed hop notes in every sip. There is a hint of alcohol heat on the way down for this hop forward Northeast style IPA. Beer geeks rejoice but you have to leave your parent’s basement because for now Basement IPA is only at your local establishment.

Delicious. Opaque beige color with great foam and lacing. I usually opt for more west coast style IPAs but this is Atlanta’s best in my opinion.

This is a great beer. Pretty, thick head, with lacing for hours. Really pungent citra nose, but not overwhelmingly hoppy on the palate. Finish has a pleasant lingering bite.

Appearance: clear amber. Fluffy white head with good retention.
Aroma: Hop forward. Oranges, tangerines, pine, dank,
Flavor & Aftertaste: Mild alcohol, spicy and resinous. Moderate bitterness. Low sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Semi-dry. Medium carbonation. Medium length finish.
Overall: I can't read the date stamp, but I think this beer has possible aged out. It does not have the hops punch I expected. Good balance. Semi-sweet and drying. Has moderate bitterness on the back end that lingers a bit into the aftertaste. Uses 100% Citra hops, so you get the citrus aroma and dankness, although it is not overwhelming. Solid American IPA.

Friend brought me a fresh twelve from Atlanta. Never had anything from this brewery before.
Pours orange in color. Hazey with a LOT of suspended yeast. Head is white, tight and fades to a film rather quickly
Smell is very citrus with a touch of pine. Pretty straightforward.
Taste is kind of juicy. I read 55 IBU but seems like a lot less. This seems to taste like a fruit infused IPA but I don't believe that is what is going on here. I know they make a POG basement beer that is infused with fruit but this is the normal basement IPA.
This isn't my preference for an IPA but there is nothing off about it. A quality made beer, just not for me.
I also have the POG and Double Basement to try.

On draft, in shaker pint
Slightly cloudy dark golden color, off white colored head. Nice mix of citrus and dank hop flavors, a little sticky and good bitterness level. Medium bodied.

You picked a beaut Clark! Nice, hoppy IPA with a fruity finish and a hint of resin. Just what I am looking for in a local IPA.

LOOK: Pours a near gold color with a handsome foamy off white head that shows better than average retention along with solid side glass lace.
AROMA: Dank, pine nuts wet malts along with some tropical fruits.
TASTE: Tropical citrus is more prominent, has a nice hop, malt balance.
FEEL: Dry finish, mildly juicy.
Solid West Coast style IPA.

Pours a fantastic golden color with a lot of long lasting rocky foam. Very dank on the nose with plenty of citrus. Taste is where it excels. Very very dank, tons of pine, but enough malt and sweetness to balance out the heavy bitterness. Overall, much better than I expected for how cheap it was. A very drinkable, well-made IPA, especially for a southern beer.
