Honey gold with very little haze and topped with 4 fingers of white rocky head.

Smells of canned pineapple and mango.

Tastes of pineapple and fruit cocktail with a note of tartness. Grapefruit pith as well.

Medium resinous body with medium carbonation.

I got this in Atlanta and am drinking it in Redding California, July 26th 2020.

One of the many GA local beers that I got to try while visiting my son during the 4th of July holiday...

I didn't know what to expect, but this one was a very nice surprise. A fruity scent to go along with a fruity and bitter IPA taste, with a look that is bright, lightly hazy and has a good foamy head. Mouthfeel is crisp, but a ta watery, and overall, I find it a very good representative of the good ol' USA IPA-style.

I've had many IPAs of many styles. None other has blown my taste buddies away to Heaven as well as this brew has!

This one is now my favorite for ultra-citrus IPAs -- it's prominently super tangerine with a nice hit of grapefruit, but is not TOO bitter. There's no conifer note to speak of. This one is totally citrus, and I love it for that.

It has a nice, soothing mouthfeel -- almost creamy without being overly thick. The nose is subtle, but matches the much more intense flavor hiding within the amber waves below.

If you like citrus-forward IPA that is not super hoptastic, get this. You will NOT be disappointed, but do be sure to drink it cold. It's okay-ish warm, but shines the most when it's properly chilled.

Pretty solid beer! First time having it and would definitely get it again if given the opportunity. Nice flavor with a great smell. Doesn’t have an overwhelming alcohol taste either with a high abv.

From draft at an Atlanta restaurant which perhaps needs to clean its tap lines. Looked like a nice West Coast IPA but tasted like dishwater. Perhaps the worst IPA I have tasted in many years.

Draft at Emory conference center Atlanta. OK, I generally dont like IPAs back east. Being from MT, there is a distinct difference between NW IPA's and those east. I always have a criticism. Not this one. This is one killer IPA. Buy it, drink it. Nuff said. Even got lace on side of the glass.

Had on draft at Zachry's near Brunswick, GA. A very enjoyable selection. Was looking forward to this southern IPA and was not disappointed! I will definitely look for this in the future.
Recently found this at my local Publix. Foamy head clings to the tall glass like it was glued! Great beer, smells faintly citrus y, tastes the same at first then finishes with a bitter bite.

Pours a great clear orange Amber with excellent lacing.
Smells of pine, bread and very light citrus.
Tastes hoppy with too much carbonation
Feels a bit scratchy but some like it that way
Overall this is a good, not great beer that would not be in my Top 20 IPAs

Had at Savannah Taphouse, Savannah, on draft into pint tumbler.

It can be risky to brew a balanced IPA in the late ‘teens. This beer doesn’t try to knock your socks off. But this deceptive 7.50 IPA remains very interesting and drinks . . . often.

Scofflaw hit it out of the park with Basement. What a great IPA! This beer feels perfect while going down the hatch. Aftertaste is very smooth for an IPA. Highly recommended.

Got in a BIF from KMitch. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy medium golden/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big ruby grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big ruby grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of ruby grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an incredible IPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; extremely smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. Amazing Citra/Chinook showcase. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, loved the hop profile as expected.

I had this on tap at a restaurant in Atlanta. Bartender poured it with less than 1/4 inch head, bit the head was an egg-shell/off white in color with minute amount of lacing that receded very quickly coupled with a clear golden straw color that had a moderate amount of carbonation. It has a citrusy nose with a little malt thrown in for a bit of balance. It is a light bodied brew that has some hops that are noticeable, as well as a touch of lemon but really not as happy as I would like. There is, however, a nice touch of malt. It has a slight alcohol-forward finish as well. Overall, I find this a beer that sits on the high end of middle of the road, but that is probably due to its lack of big hops flavor that I love.

An excellent Citra hop bomb, this pours a slightly hazy golden color with a a frothy light tan head. Cute hop aromas dominate the nose, but there’s a subtle malt note, too.

The taste has all the Citra ho flavors you could want, but the malt notes balance this nicely, and the crisp finish has a subtle alcohol note. An excellent example of the style, IMHO.

This is a damn good beer - quite tasty. You can smell and taste the hits of citrus and tropical fruit - reminded me of a Zombie Dust in that regard, but not as hoppy, which I prefer. It had a slight amber hue (had it on draft on a restaurant patio) and a robust mouth-feel. This is one of the better IPAs that I've had - would definitely grab this one again.

I think I am partial to the hometown brew skies. However between Scofflaw, Terrapin, Sweetwater etc. I don’t think there is a better state for beer. I digress.

Smells of tropical fruits and citrus. Pours slight amber. Taste of citrus and a slight hint of pine. Possibly grapefruit/orange/lime are the first three that come to mind. They mis incredible well. It says citra hops on every sip and IMO the best ipa, that makes that claim. Overall a delicious , juicy, and ooh so drinkable ipa. Scofflaw so far has not disappointed. It’s in the top 3 ipa’s I have ever tasted.

Pours a yellow looks lightly chill hazed but can see fine particles upon further inspection, so maybe light can conditioning going on. Thumb sized white head didn't stay long only spotty lace.

Aroma is bright citrus, grapefruit, lime, pineapple, pear kind of all mingled together with out any real pine resin in the mix some light alcohol notes mingled in. Defiantly hop forward in aroma without smelling overly bitter.

Taste is lot more bitter then the fruity aroma let on. It is bright like the nose though citrus rind bitterness mainly some light floral and herbal notes in the finish. Again no real pine resin like the nose. Not a bad IPA has enough kick and all maybe just not felling it tonight .

Mouthfeel is medium maybe made a touch lighter by the peppier carbonation.

Overall not a bad IPA might just not be in the mood tonight but find this one OK almost good but not exceptional in my opinion.

I must have scored a bad pour. Didn’t have the citrus flavour, as the barperson advertised. It came on “sorta” bitter, and finished the same. Alcohol was evident, howsomever.

Second attempt:
Still bitter, little noticeable head, conspicuous alcohol content. Not for me.

The amber colored body was quite hazy in the glass after poring. The one finger thick head formed quickly, and stayed around. The aroma was floral, tropical, and citric. The taste was similar to the aroma, with a grapefruit and lime flavor being prominent, followed by a pine resin like bitterness. The malts were solid, providing a somewhat sweet undertone mid palette onwards. This was an easy drinking beer, and had a lemon like aftertaste that lingered. The body was medium dense, and the alcohol was well hidden. Very pleased to have picked this up at the store today.

Smell: Guava, pineapple, and passion fruit with a Juicy Fruit gum aspect

Taste: Bright with a Juicy Fruit gum flavor; the guava, pineapple and passion fruit emerge, through the middle, along with grapefruit pith; the fruit tones keep the bitterness in check, through the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A very nice, juicy IPA with a range of tropical fruit flavors

Canned On: 08/28/2017

Pours a pretty nice clean/clear dark golden yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, some hops, citrusy. The taste is pretty nice, malty, some hops, citrusy. Medium body, ABV hidden very well, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a nice thirst quencher. Thanks John!
