This IPA has a bit of a malty character (I could be wrong), which I enjoyed tremendously. It smells and looks great, but something doesn't hit right with me. It's still pretty good.

Poured from a crowler (brewery sample). Leaving a nice lacing on the glass, this beer is medium amber in color with a reddish glow and good clarity. In the nose, some burnt caramel sweetness mingles with a gingery-orange marmalade aroma, brown bread, and a trace of cedar. Then, as it warms, fusel alcohols make themselves known. Remember: This is a strong beer!
Medium-bodied with a roundness on the palate, Depraved delivers a somewhat measured—but not altogether subtle—level of bitterness on a wave of malty flavor. Candied orange peel, resinous pine, and toasted panettone speak loudly to the taste buds. Scofflaw has brewed a drinkable DIPA, although a bit more complexity would have been welcome. The finish is semi-dry and bittersweet. Overall, a strong showing, and a nod to an earlier age of craft brewing.

Had from a crowler 12.16.17 (thanks drew!)
Delicious classic old school west coast DIPA, pours a beautiful burnt orange/reddish bronze. Not much nose, but packed full of Hop flavor and subtle boozy burn. For folks familiar with Avery Maharaja, this is the east coast twin- yeah, not cousin- twin. Very well done, my only criticism is not original. Relive those craft beer glory days of 2008-2009!
