Nice deep golden hue, loads of lace retention as the beer falls.
Dank hops and sweet citrus rind on the nose. Really getting a lot of sweet, overripe pineapple too as it continues to open up.
Same as the nose; a robust and dank flavor profile that packs a punch balanced with sweet malt, tropical fruit, citrus, and lightly bitter, potent hops.
Fairly heavy-bodies for a DIPA, but it’s not off-putting. Leaves a bit of a film to accompany a smooth, boozy tail and a low carbonation.

Smooth mouth feel is the most unique aspect of this beer, but does not disappoint with a juicy mango and citrus mouth explosion!

pours a cloudy amber with a small head. nose; odd... washed grain, light ethanol, caramel, & light hops. taste; cracker malt, hot ethanol, citrus zest, & citrus hops. almost tastes like a beer-flavored kitchen cleaner. medium carbonation & mouthfeel. this is only 9%, but has an almost rubbing alcohol flare to both the nose & taste. maybe this would be better with age. not very well-balanced, and falls a good bit short of scofflaw’s other stuff.

12 ounce can dated 7/03/2018. Had in my possession since early August, kept cold in fridge. Pours a mostly soft orange with red highlights. Just off white pinky of head. Pretty good amount of lacing on the glass.
The nose is grapefruit, grains, lemon peel. Starts off with an overall hop bitterness, then sweet citrus, grapefruit, guava, papya, citrus peels. Finishes with slightly abrasive, which is a huge plus in my book.
Smooth body, tips the scales to the bitter side. No alcohol or heat detected. Easy drinking DIPA

12 oz can poured into a shaker.
Appearance
Murky hazy golden-amber. Short head dissipates quickly.
Nose
Grapefruit pith, caramel, overripe mango, and a gym sock dankness.
Taste
Sweetened grapefruit juice and overripe mango. Firm caramel maltiness with toffee and hints of butterscotch. Earthy and dirty dankness.
Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, oily, smooth, and sticky with a medium-light bitterness.
Overall
Not really feeling this. Tastes sort of like a rancid grapefruit.

Standard yellow amber color, and hazy body, but the head was quite large, and very durable. The aroma was quite reminiscent of mangoes, which I adore. The taste provide a lot of fruit up front, evoking peaches, plums, and the aforementioned mangoes. The feel was creamy and luscious, and the finish was sweet. This was definitely in the NE IPA mold, with low bitterness, and a heavy tropical vibe. Superb.

Light pale yellow, slightly amber color. Notes of pineapple on the nose. Hop forward taste with bright tropical fruit that stays through the finish. Does not drink like a 9% abv imprrial DIPA, very easy to drink but complex flavors,

Slightly hazed orange with a finger of white head.
Smells of grapefruit, pineapple, some underlying earthy dankness.
Hearty malt backbone on this one, the hops dominate the taste though. Slight candied aspects to the citrus and pineapple flavor.
Medium bodied with alcohol well hidden.
Overall another tasty one from Scofflaw.

I picked up a six-pack of Double Hooligan with high expectations that were not only met but exceeded.
The hop balance of this beer is incredible and welcomed.
The aroma borders on floral and it's deep copper appearance makes for a beautiful brew to gawk upon.
I only wish that this was regularly available, but non-double Hooligan is also pretty good.
