Had from bottle dated 9.10.18
Super boozy, west coast interpretation - a little confused at this ABV why it's not considered a double (?)
Pours a deep glowing amber; Sweet citrus fruit flavor, this one needs to warm as it's clearly been amped up via a bourbon barrel or some other brown liquor aging process.
Bottom line too malty/sweet & unbalanced for my taste -- the standard for this style is Avery Maharaja and this just doesn't hold a candle.

Pours a mostly clear amber orange with a finger of white head.
The malt background is definitely there on the nose. Bitter citrus too.
The flavor follows with the malts leading the way. Citrus comes through mid to late palette, grapefruit and orange. Pithy finish.
Medium bodied with good carb level. Pretty balanced. High alcohol is well hidden.
Overall a solid, potent IPA.
