Appearance - The beer poured a deep murky black color with a dark mocha head.
Smell - The beer had a really great nose, composed of booze and oaky vanilla. Strangely, the maple does not come through.
Taste - Initially, I detected vanilla bourbon. The stickiness of maple came through closer to the aftertaste. The alcohol bite was a little hot.
Mouthfeel - The burn in the mouthfeel told me that this could use some aging. The burn stuck to my throat.
Overall - I loved the taste, but not the burn.

Dark appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a very pleasant blend of maple and vanilla. Taste is very smooth blend of bourbon maple and vanilla.
